Chelsea has officially signed a new contract with Everton’s midfielder Ross Barkley today, Friday, after the months of the player getting linked with Chelsea.
The English media have reported to the Barkley’s deal, which cost the Blues around £15million, is around £ 20million cheaper than his price that Chelsea was ready to pay for Everton in the summer which is £ 35million due to his contract which expires at the end of this season.
Everton’s board had spent 20 million pounds on Ross Barkley, and decided to sell the player in January, to avoid his departure for free next summer, especially as his contract ends at the end of the season, in the summer of 2018.
Ross Barkley, 24 years old, began his career with 11 years of age with the Magpies and has played 150 Premier League games, and179 games in all competitions and scoring 27 goals with his former team.
Welcome to the Blues Ross Barkley! and we are excited to see you playing alongside Kante and Fabregas!
